A little personal post. Though i don’t do many.
I haven’t trained since November, as my granddad grew ill and i was looking after him for a while, and unfortunately for me and my family, he died five days before Christmas, i was the one that found him and called the ambulance.
and since then, i haven’t done much, of anything really, he was a huge part of my life and i tried to fill that void with incredible amount of drink, which as many probably know, doesn’t solve anything. so finally i realized, even my granddad would be shouting at me to get my shit together, so i did. but living in a remarkably shit area, which doesnt give you much in the way of physical outlets, i was forced to adapt, making my own little gym in the back garden, which i’m very fucking proud of. i have weight plates and dumbbells, all homemade, as well as squat stands. and i’m looking forward to getting my life back on track. and some my think, well why not got to a gym. well 1, there isnt one within a reason distance from me, and two, i personally dont feel able too, both mentally and physically for the time being. Plus, being one poor motherfucker doesnt help either. But for the mean time, this is what i have, and by god it works beautifully.
